What we're looking for
We are seeking a passionate Game Designer to develop captivating gamification mechanics and strategies. You will play a key role in creating engaging and immersive gamified experiences for our users. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing game mechanics and elements that enhance user engagement, motivation, and behavior using existing features and new ones, including the tokenization of in-game and esports items.
Responsibilities
- Develop gamification strategies for our existing features like matchmaking, tournaments, gacha games, in-game items trading, raffles, and subscriptions.
- Research and advise on new features to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Gather gamers’ feedback and identify improvements to be made.
- Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with leadership, product managers and developers.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure design and function are perfectly integrated.
- Innovate on user acquisition and retention mechanics. Illustrating gamification ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
- Develop workflows that detail the product economy and the impact of new features.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and UX teams to implement effective gamification elements.
- Be diligent and ensure quality of work in a fast paced, team based highly iterative development environment.
Who are you
- Degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Psychology, or related fields.
- Experienced gamification expert with 3+ years in game design or related fields, focusing on user engagement and retention.
- Strong understanding of current gamification trends and ability to develop engaging mechanics.
- Proficient in collaboration with product, marketing, and UX teams, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in managing time effectively and presenting concepts to teams and stakeholders.
- Empathetic towards gamers and web3 users, using constraints creatively for problem-solving.
- Familiar with blockchain technology in gaming and proficient in software tools like Figma, InVision, Storybook, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

- Experience with Notion
- Experience in Product Design
- Experience working on video games for PC/mobile, competitive gaming platforms
- Experience in web3 products Ability to work onsite in our Braga, Portugal offices
